World Space Week begins today. What, what you might ask. How did I let this slip my mind?!
It was established by the United Nations General Assembly . It's an international celebration of science and technology and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition.
When I stumbled across this holiday I had images from the 1957 movie titled "Desk Set." Office workers were not too keen on the computers that were cropping up in the workplace. Difficult to master, impersonal and potentially a job killer.
